How do I choose a category?
Pick the one that best describes what your product does. A listing is in exactly one category, and the Other category is discouraged: it is reviewed every season.
What does open land mean?
No listing in that category has been ranked yet. The first one opens it, and the board opens to the public once it has eight ranked listings.
What is the difference between a category board and the overall top 100?
A category board ranks listings against others in the same category. The overall board is built from the category leaders and opens once five categories have a ranked listing.
Can a category be added or changed?
The list is fixed and versioned. Changes are announced in the changelog, and an agent can read the current list at /v1/categories.
